[Oscar de la Renta disses our First Lady...AGAIN?]

You guys probably didn't know about the first diss, did you? Yes, its true. Fashion designer (and Dominican born) Oscar de la Renta has once again fired shots at Michelle Obama's choice in clothing!

Pop the top to get the full story!

The state dinner was held early last week and Oscar de la Renta was less than thrilled that she opted to wear a red Alexander McQueen dress, rather than an American designer to such a political event.

De la Renta told Women's Wear Daily: "My understanding is that the visit was to promote American-Chinese trade — American products in China and Chinese products in America. Why do you wear European clothes?" He added, because of Obama's star power, she could use her name to boost the business of "young, very talented" people who need the publicity. He says he isn't talking about himself, however. "I'm old and I don't need it."

The color red does symbolize luck and happiness in Chinese culture. Maybe that's what she was going for!

This isn't the first time he's had something to say about Obama's fashion choices. Back in 2009 when she went to meet the Queen of England, she wore a J.Crew ensemble (below). De la Renta put her on blast, saying “You don’t show up at Buckingham Palace…in a sweater.” Ouch!

Oscar de la Renta has designed for and dressed many politicians and political wives in the past. He has NOT, however, dressed the First Lady of the current administration....hmmm.

Jess says: This sounds less about Obama's "choices in fashion", and more about De la Renta throwing a slight tantrum because she hasn't worn his clothes yet. Your thoughts?
